ATC Merkur Pasohlávky: a large South Moravian campsite by lagoons, Pálava and Nové Mlýny
Practical Information
Autokemp Merkur in Pasohlávky is a huge summer campsite with two lagoons, beaches, tent and caravan areas, fixed accommodation, restaurants, sports and evening entertainment. Great for an active summer, less ideal if you want monastic silence in peak season.
Who it suits
ATC Merkur Pasohlávky is a large South Moravian campsite for travellers who want everything in one place: swimming, beaches, tents, caravans, bungalows, restaurants, small shops, sports, open-air cinema and summer buzz. It suits families, groups of friends, cyclists and caravan travellers looking for a base near Pálava and Nové Mlýny.
It is not a tiny hidden forest campsite. In peak summer it gets lively and hosts events. If you want a quieter stay, choose June, September or ask about the quieter part of the campsite.
What to expect
The campsite lies by the upper Nové Mlýny reservoir and has two lagoons with sandy-grassy beaches and gradual water entry. Accommodation includes open tent and caravan areas, boxes, cabins, bungalows, apartments, villas and resort rooms. Some camping spots have electricity, but open pitches and electric hookups cannot be reserved.
Facilities include a kitchen, common room, modern sanitary facilities, restaurants, small shops, refreshments, rentals and many activities. The official website mentions a pumptrack, workout area, playgrounds, trampolines, wake park, windsurfing school, agility, bike rental and cycling routes nearby.
Booking, season and arrival
The campsite states 24/7 operation from 1 April to 31 October 2026. The address is Pasohlávky 114 E. For tents and caravans, remember that open pitches and electric hookups cannot be reserved, so in peak dates it pays to stay flexible.
Also check major events. During selected events, normal public access is restricted and entry is possible only with an event ticket.
Swimming and water quality
The lagoons have a strong summer atmosphere, but water quality must be checked seriously. Both lagoons are monitored by the South Moravian public health authority. At the time of checking, 2026 sampling results were not yet listed, and in the previous season the quality deteriorated in late summer.
Before swimming, always check the current status of both lagoons. Small children, pregnant women, allergy sufferers and people with sensitive skin should be especially careful.
Watch out
Merkur is large, well equipped and lively. That is both its strength and its weakness. If you want water, sport, food, entertainment and services, it works very well. If you want silence, come outside peak summer.
Dogs are allowed for tent and caravan stays, but they must be registered and kept on a leash. Quiet hours are 22:00–6:00, although summer music events may still be part of the campsite programme.
