Jinolice Ponds are one of the most pleasant summer places in Bohemian Paradise, with swimming in Oborský Pond, sandy beaches with gradual entry, campsites, restaurants, stands, sports rental, fishing and a great location just below Prachov Rocks and close to Jičín.
Jinolice Ponds are where swimming meets a proper Bohemian Paradise trip. They lie near Jinolice below Prachov Rocks, so you can hike the rock viewpoints in the morning and cool down in the water in the afternoon.
The main swimming area is Oborský Pond, with campsites, sandy beaches and recreational facilities. The whole pond system also includes other ponds, but for a first visit it is easiest to head to the recreation area around Autocamp Jinolice.
Why visit
The main advantage is location. Prachov Rocks are close, Jičín is only a short drive away, and Trosky, Kost, Hrubá Skála and Humprecht are within easy trip range.
Swimming
Oborský Pond has sandy beaches and gradual water entry, which makes it suitable for families. In high season, expect crowds, especially on sunny weekends.

Oborský Pond is monitored for bathing water quality. In 2025, it was repeatedly listed as suitable for swimming, though with reduced transparency. Always check the current rating before swimming.
