Petynka outdoor pool: heated 50-metre swimming in Prague 6

Petynka is one of the easiest summer escapes in Prague 6. It sits in Střešovice and feels more relaxed than a typical city pool, while still offering the structure visitors need: a heated 50-metre stainless-steel pool, lawns, a slide, changing facilities, ticketing and live capacity information.

Why go

The main reason is the balance between swimming and family recreation. The pool is long enough for proper laps, but the area also works for children and casual summer lounging. The official information lists the main pool depth roughly from 1.1 to 1.6 metres. The 103-metre slide normally runs from 9:00 until one hour before closing, subject to current operation.

This is not wild natural swimming. It is a managed outdoor city pool. That is exactly its strength: predictable facilities, clear rules and useful services. On hot days, however, follow capacity updates. An online ticket does not guarantee a place or priority entry if the area is full.
