A very popular spot near Olomouc. It is busiest on hot days, weekends and during school holidays.

Booking

Normal swimming does not require booking. For the wake cable, accommodation, caravans or larger groups, check current rules in advance.

Best time

Morning, weekdays or early evening. On hot weekends, the main Wake Park area is much busier.

Transport

Driving to the Wake Park Náklo car park is easiest. Cycling works well from Litovel, Náklo, Horka nad Moravou or nearby villages.

Watch out

Swimming is at your own risk. Watch for depth, water-sport traffic, fishing areas and park only in designated places.

Time needed

For a quick swim, 1 to 2 hours are enough; for swimming plus wakeboarding, paddleboarding or refreshments, allow 3 to 5 hours.

Why visit

The main reason is the size and water. The flooded area is listed at roughly 100 hectares and reaches depths of up to about 25 metres. It feels more open and lake-like than many smaller quarries.

Swimming

Swimming is at your own risk. The banks are grassy and sandy in places, but this is still a former quarry, so the bottom and depth can change quickly. Children and weaker swimmers need close attention.

Wake Park Náklo

Wake Park Náklo provides the clearest visitor facilities: parking, refreshments, toilets, equipment rental and a water cable for wakeboarding or water skiing.

Watch out for

Parking is charged in season and should be done only in designated areas. Water quality is not the same kind of guaranteed pool environment, so check current local information before going.

The flat Haná region is pleasant for cycling. Náklo combines well with Litovelské Pomoraví, Litovel or a ride along the Morava River.

Public transport

Without a car, check current bus connections to Náklo or Lhota nad Moravou and expect a walk to the chosen part of the lake.
