Singletrail Moravský kras: family-friendly trails above Jedovnice that can still bite
Practical Information
Singletrail Moravský kras near Jedovnice offers three forest circuits above Olšovec. It suits beginners, families and riders looking for playful berms, jumps and a slightly sharper third loop without lift-served bike park chaos.
Why ride here
Singletrail Moravský kras near Jedovnice is more about smooth forest flow than rough downhill riding. The trails are one-way, built for mountain bikes and use berms, rollers, tables and jumps. There is no lift here, so you climb by pedalling.
The good thing is that the trails can be ridden sensibly. Difficulty depends a lot on speed: slow down and the first two circuits are manageable even for less experienced riders. Speed up and the same berms and jumps become much more playful.
Who it suits
Beginners and families should start with the first or second circuit. The operator lists both as suitable for children and rates them blue/red. It is still mountain-bike terrain, not a flat paved cycle path.
The third circuit adds black elements and is recommended only for stronger children. It suits riders who already feel confident in turns, know how to brake properly and do not panic when the trail drops, rolls or offers a jump.
How it works
The base is near Jedovnice, close to Autocamp Olšovec. The operator lists seasonal opening hours for the base and bike rental and warns that the area may close in very bad weather. Check current trail status before travelling, especially after rain.
The trails are for mountain bikes. Pedestrians, motorbikes, dogs and horses are not allowed on them. A helmet is mandatory and knee and elbow pads make sense for faster riding. Children under 12 may ride only with an adult.
Trail contribution, rental and facilities
Singletrail Moravský kras uses a trail contribution. The daily contribution is CZK 100 and annual 2026 options start at CZK 1,000. This is not a classic lift bike pass, but a contribution towards trail operation and maintenance.
The base offers trail bike and light e-bike rental, bike service and a bistro. In some months, rental requires advance booking, so do not arrive blindly if you need a bike. Rental includes a deposit requirement and helmets can be rented separately.
Getting there
By car, drive to Jedovnice and past Autocamp Olšovec to the base parking area. By public transport, you can reach Jedovnice by bus from Brno or via Blansko, then continue to the base on foot or by bike.
Watch out
Do not ride after heavy rain and pretend mud is just another type of adventure. The visitor rules ban riding in extremely wet conditions, ice or snow. It is safer for you and much better for the trails.
Before riding, check the website or social media, take a helmet, match your speed to your skills and send only confident riders onto the third loop.
